HS grades: high-strength electrical steel strip

Very high tensile strength for mechanical stress

Due to their high RPMs, electric motors in car engines have additional requirements when it comes to the mechanical stress to which the electrical steel strip can be exposed. To meet these special requirements, we developed extremely strong HS variations (high-strength) based on our NO grades.

Yield strengths above 500 MPa (73 ksi)

For modern electric car engines, we combine our electrical steel strip expertise with our expertise for extraordinary tensile strength. Simply consider rotor teeth, which are exposed to extremely high mechanical stress at high RPMs. To meet such requirements, we are able to produce electrical steel strip grades with yield strengths of above 500 MPa (73 ksi). Talk to us about which electromobility ideas you would like to develop. We would be glad to accompany you with our electrical steel strip expertise from the very start of your development process.

HS grades with special magnetic and mechanical properties

Our HS grades combine our electrical steel strip expertise with our expertise for extraordinary tensile strength. This diagram illustrates the impact of alloy content on the magnetic and mechanical properties of the steel strip.

Our HS grades (high-strength) are ideally suited for application in car electric engines because of their resilience under high stress.
